Dresser on a budget

My first DIY piece of furniture. This was not as smooth as some people make it look but I couldn't be more pleased with the final result! Here's how I did it.

DI Dresser $5
Removed drawers and handles, cleaned and sanded down

Removed handles before sanding and painting.

Painted a pale green to match bed spread
Because the handles were an odd size, I was forced to reuse them. BUT who knew that Lowes carries "Brasso" - a brass polisher. It saved the day and saved me $20 in handles.

Bought 2 knobs at Hobby Lobby with green accents.

Draped some lace across the drawer and spray painted it an ivory cream for a subtle effect.

Voila!

Bloggers at Last!

Only a few of my theories have stood against the test of time and one of those is this: "high schoolers use myspace, college kids get to use facebook, and once you're married you get to graduate to a blog."
We are excited to keep everyone posted with how things are going as newlyweds trying to keeps our cute little heads above water in Provo.
More to come!
